Hi,

as there have been many questions about an (k)ubuntu package for KFLog,
I've installed Ubuntu-8.10 on a virtual machine and built a .deb
package. I'm not a Debian/Ubuntu/Kubuntu user and this is the first .deb
package I've ever built. If you encounter problems, please tell me.

The package is based on the latest svn version, but I modified it
slightly to keep it compatible with current and future versions of the
terrain map files. So this is not a stable version, and there are a few
known bugs. Nevertheless it's much better than the ancient "stable"
2.1.1 version from the website.

Before you start KFLog the first time, you should make sure that you
have write permission in the three directories

  /usr/share/apps/kflog/mapdata/airfields
  /usr/share/apps/kflog/mapdata/airspaces
  /usr/share/apps/kflog/mapdata/landscape

You find the package at

  http://www.linta.de/~hoeth/kflog/kflog_2.2.0.svn927M-1_i386.deb

Cheers,

      Hendrik
