[Cumulus] Cumulus 2.6.0 released

 Hi list,

I'm proud to announce the release of the first Cumulus package in 2010. It
carries the release number 2.6.0. It was built with the Qt release 4.5.3
because I had some trouble with the newer Qt 4.6.2 release. This package is
for the Nokia Internet Tablets N800/N810 running Maemo OS2008. It is to find

For the N900 I will try to make a release the next days.

What has been changed in the meantime? The answer is a lot. Here are the
highlights:

a) Coordinate editor layout complete redesigned to make input easier. Three
different input formats are now possible.

b) Wind triangle calculation support has been added to the task planning.

c) Additional support added to process the proprietary GPS sentences of LX
Navigation devices.

d) All needed directories resp. subdirectories will be created during
startup of Cumulus if they are missing.

e) Automatic download added for missing Welt2000, Ground and Terrain map
files during run-time. The user is ask once if he wants to download missing
files from the Internet. Download is disabled when Cumulus is in move. In
move means faster as 5Km/h.

f) To make the installation of maps easier for all users a new extension has
been added to the Map Settings tabulator. The user can now define a radius
and a center point. On demand all maps of this area are downloaded from the
KFLog map server and installed. If Cumulus is faster as 5Km/h in move no
downloads are executed. I hope that releases the users from the annoying
installation   procedure by hand ;-)

g) To make the installation of the Welt2000 airfield file easier for all
users a new extension has been added to the Airfield Settings tabulator. The
user can download and install on demand the Welt2000 file now. If Cumulus is
faster as 5Km/h in move no download is executed.

h) Also airspaces can be downloaded and installed by Cumulus now. But the
URL file name must be entered by hand.

i) New Logging options added under the menu point Pre-flight Settings
tabulator Common. Beside the B-Recording an optional recording of K-Records
is possible now. Additional logged parameters are HDT, TAS, WDI, WSP, VAT.

j) Airspace colors modified to be more in accordance with the ICAO
guidelines. If you want to use the new colors open the Airspaces
configuration tabulator and press the button 'Color Defaults'.

Note to N800 users. I tried a build of Cumulus with the Maemo Qt for OS2008
but I failed on different bugs inside that release. I fall back to my
personal solution to built my own Qt libraries from the sources in the
scratchbox and put it in the Cumulus package. Therefore is no virtual
keyboard support available not now and also not in the future. Sorry for
that but the effort is me to high to get it running because my free time is
also limited.

Are there any wishes what shall be added to Cumulus in the future or changed
in general? Feedback are always welcome.
