Hi list,
a new cumulus release with number 2.3.0 is available for download for Maemo
OS 2008 Diablo. It added new features and fixes some bugs. The new features
are:
1) Outlandings are read too from the Welt2000 file and displayed at the map
and in all lists. A new option has been added to Welt2000 configuration's
tabulator to activate or deactivate the loading of outlandings. Outlandings
are handled also by the reachable list.
If you want to use the new feature, acticate the outlanding load check box
(default is false) in the configuration menu and install a new Welt2000.txt
file from here:
http://www.segelflug.de/vereine/welt2000/download/WELT2000.TXT
in your airfield directory. The old file is not useable for outlandings
because cumulus has filtered out them during first read. The Welt2000 file
contains a lot of outlanding points from outlanding catalogs, e.g.
Schwarzwald and Alps regions.
One request from my side. If you find wrong entries in the outlanding data
or there should be additional outlanding added, please send such updates to
Mike, the maintainer of the Welt2000 data file per Email (miko37_AT_gmx.de,
replace _AT_ by a @).
2) All runway directions are handled now according to the Welt2000
definitions. That is a little bit tricky but used up to now. The waypoint
editor was adapted to the new handling. Two runway directions can be
defined via combo boxes. A valid runway directions comprises the range
01...36. The value -- is used for unknown. The coding schema is the
following:
-09/27 means there is one runway with two useable directions. Note! The
difference between the two directions must be always 18.
-09/09 means there is one runway with only one useable direction.
-09/18 means there are two runways 09/27 and 18/36 with two useable
directions. Note! The difference between the two directions must be unequal
18.
3) The display of lables at the map has been modified. There exist now four
different kind of labels and each one can be toggled via the menu or by
using a shortcut key. The following label categories exist:
Airfield labels, shortcut key A
Outlanding labels, shortcut key O
Taskpoint labels, shortcut key T
Waypoint labels, shortcut key W
Extra label information can be toggled by using shortcut key E.
Airfields, Outlandings and Taskpoints carry always the importance attribute
high. Waypoints can carry three different importance attributes (high,
normal, low), set or modifyable by using the waypoint editor. The drawing
scale borders can be adapted in the configuration settings of Map Objects.

Have fun with testing cumulus, feedbacks are always welcome.
Greetings Axel
